Turn uncategorized inspection data into actionable information

12 Nov 2019

Join Martin Campbell today at EPRI's Unmanned Aircraft Systems for Electric Utilities Workshop who will be discussing "Turn Terabytes of uncategorized inspection data into actionable information".

As the industry implements UAS technology, it is evident that data volumes are becoming the real bottleneck of a successful enterprise wide adoption. Whilst AI and machine learning are still striving to deliver a compelling solution, some tower operators have been paving the way using readily available software to semi automate the categorisation of inspection data collected by UAS (as well as helicopters and linemen). iHawk, a cloud-based visualisation software developed by Cyberhawk utility engineers, is being used by one operator to manage in excess of 13,000 towers and 400 substations. This presentation will provide an overview of the workflow (data collection to visualisation) and demonstrate iHawk’s value proposition.
